Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
I am incredibly fortunate to be the Principal of a truly special school. A place where students are at the heart of everything that we do, and where our community members are valued partners in their child’s learning journey.
At Kings Langley Public School we believe in the importance of developing the ‘whole child’. Our academic programs are firmly focused on developing learning pathways for every student. Whether students have a particular academic strength or talent, or if they are experiencing learning challenges, it is our responsibility to nurture their development, extending them to reach their full potential.
As important as academics are, school is about so much more than learning to read and write. It is about opening doors for students and providing them with opportunities to showcase their talents. Every child has a unique set of traits that make them special and it is our job to identify their strengths, then provide them with opportunities to shine. Whether your child is creative, sporty, critical thinkers/problem solvers, gifted public speakers or anything in between, we nurture their talents through internal programs and provide external opportunities to help them go even further. Our programs are responsive to student’s interests, as we know that the best way to keep students highly motivated and engaged with their learning is to provide them with a diverse range of programs that reflect their interests. Please be sure to have a look at the ‘School life’ tab to get an idea of some of the student opportunities and activities that are available.
Our school community are valued partners in their child’s learning. I love seeing our parents in and around the school, whether that be a casual conversation at morning drop off, or at one of our many official events where parents are invited into the school. We are fortunate to have an active P&C that do so much for our school and our students. These partnerships add so much value to our students’ education. As the African proverb says, “It takes a village to raise a child”. This is certainly true at Kings Langley Public School.
As I mentioned earlier, I am incredibly privileged to be the Principal of this amazing school. Not everyone is lucky enough to love their job and the people that they work with, but that is certainly true in my case. Every day I get to work alongside dedicated and caring teachers, supportive and friendly parents and enthusiastic and inspiring students.
I look forward to welcoming you into our community so you can have the KLPS experience for yourself.
Chris Lambert, Principal of Kings Langley Public School
