Community engagement

Community engagement officer

In 2021, Mrs Sloan will be continuing in her new role as a Community Engagement Officer, each Tuesday. With over 30 years of teaching experience and 23 of those years at Kings Langley Public School we feel this will be a perfect fit for Mrs Sloan and the rest of the community. This role will allow her to have more contact with the school community and to help with any issues that may arise.

Parents are welcome to contact Mrs Sloan to make an appointment through the school office, directly by email on, or by personal message on Facebook.

Programs available

We currently have a playgroup operating on Tuesday mornings from 9.00-10.30am in the school hall. This playgroup is available to all Kings Langley community members with children not yet at school and is a great opportunity for families in the area to get to know each other and build relationships through Kings Langley Public School.

Transition to school

During the 2nd half of the year Mrs Sloan will be running transition to school groups for those children that will be starting school the following year. These groups are a great opportunity for children to develop school readiness skills including: participating as part of a small group, correct pencil grip, cutting skills, and familiarity with the school environment.

Parent talks

Mrs Sloan also presents school talks throughout each term for parents. These talks are posted on the P&C Facebook site once they have been presented.
